The Buitenplaats, whose gardens cover 1.2 acres, houses, in addition to the authentic farmhouse, a sheepfold, a barn (all thatched), a baking shed and a greenhouse.<\/p>

On the pastures surrounding the farm, Marion and Klaas van Heuven designed and landscaped the gardens in 1980. They were inspired in part by English garden architecture with its lush plantings in tight frames of hedges. Hedges of beech and partly hawthorn fringe 9 garden rooms. The various axes of view provide surprising vistas of adjacent garden rooms and of the rolling landscape surrounding Erve Odinc.<\/p>

In 2022, Inge and Kees Stapel took over Erve Odinc. Since then, with great enthusiasm, they have significantly expanded the gardens and, fitting in with the whole, created new planting beds, borders (including about 3 inspired by Oudolf), shrub borders along the wooded borders and pergolas. By now, these have become mature borders. In 2024, the ruin of a cross-tied barn was also restored into a beautiful traditional gazebo. <\/p>

You can enjoy lots of color in the garden throughout the season.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

You will encounter various classical garden views in the garden.
This led to the garden structure also becoming a separate part of the National Monument in 1996.<\/p>

In addition to the cottage garden with its lush blue-pink plantings, features include a rose garden, arbor, a tranquil pond garden with white plantings, a colorful farm vegetable and flower garden, an orchard, a greenhouse with a very old grape, topiary and a large berceau. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The farm is surrounded by century-old trees, of which a beech, a yew and about 3 lime trees are on the Dutch list of monumental trees.<\/p>

Beyond the structure of the hedges, where, for example, the rose arbor is also located, you have an expansive view of the rolling coulisse landscape. The gardens can be visited for groups of 10 or more by appointment from April 20 to October 1.<\/p>
